Today, Zak participated, for the second year, in the Stephen Swiller Tunnel to Tower Climb. It's a foundation that's become very near and dear to his heart. This year he even helped coordinate and recruit for the event. I am so proud of this guy.

A Milestone

Milestones don't come as fast and furious around here anymore but I feel like this week, we reached a new milestone for Colt. He got his own phone. We've known it was coming but it happened a little earlier than expected. (After having his iPad since he was 4, it just couldn't hold up anymore!) Colton has really showing his maturity here lately. He's responsibile, helpful, working hard at school and really an all around good kid. SO, he deserved it! And, it should be noted, he has very rarely EVER asked for a phone. He's said he wanted one here and there but he's never been really into it. He is using Zak old phone but got to choose a new case. He was excited for that to finally come in so it was all his! When we gave him the phone, his reaction is something Ill never forget. He was not expecting it, at all!

Imelda

The calm before the storm...a cool night to ride bikes on Tuesday!

Imelda tricked us...She popped up quick and out of nowhere in the Gulf. Then when we thought she passed without harm, we woke up on Thursday morning and saw Winnie Texas was under water. Since then, she's come back to Houston and caused so much damage.

Our area was so lucky.

Other areas were not.
