Thanksgiving 2012

Our Thanksgiving was very different this year.  It's the first year, in as long as I can remember, that my family stayed in Houston. Although things were very different we enjoyed every second of it.  We started the day at Nanny and Grandads. We watched football, played outside, looked through adds, cooked, cleaned and of course ate way way too much.  We headed over to GaGa and PawPaws after the Texans won in overtime.  There, we caught up, played, watched football, shopped online, and of course ate some more.
I am so thankful for so many things today, and every day, but I am most thankful for my family.  They are all I could ever ask for. My three boys are my whole world. They are my biggest blessing. My husband supports me and makes me feel so special all of the time.  My boys make me smile and they brighten ever single day.  I am thankful my boys are growing up with both grandparents (and aunts and uncles) right around the corner and I am thankful we spend so much time with our family.
We hope your Thanksgiving was as full of blessings as ours was.

Happy Birthday MeeMaw

Today my MeeMaw would have been 93 years old.  It's so hard to believe she's not here with us.  It's hard to believe I can't call her and sing to her.  It's hard to believe I can't mail her a card the boys made her.  It's all so fresh still.  The last weeks have been hard.  I'm sad.
But, today is not a day to be sad.  It's a day to remember the amazing memories we all have of my precious MeeMaw.  She lived a full, happy, healthy life full of so much love. It brings me an incredible amount of peace to know she is celebrating with he love of her life, my PawPaw.  He is so so so very happy to have her with him. I can just hear him up there singing to her, loud enough for all of us to hear.

Happy Birthday MeeMaw
We all love you and miss you so very much!

Oil Ranch 2012

Today Colton and I went to the Oil Ranch for the third time.  But, today was the first time he went with his class.  He knew exactly what he wanted to do first.
THE TRAIN!
 We swung.  A lot.
 Mrs. Dana even joined us.

After much persuasion I talked Colton into a ride on the Hay Ride.  As long as I didn't feed the cows. (He didn't want to get slobbered on.)

As we left we got to choose a pumpkin to take with us.  We had big plans to come home and color it but unfortunately the pumpkin was a little old and had a bad spot on it we didn't notice.

Colt and I had such a fun time together.  I remember the last two visits we had and it makes me sad (REALLY REALLY REALLY sad) to think this was our last trip together with Foundry.  I'm sure there will be lots of field trips in his future and I hope to be at every one of them! It was a special day just me and him but when we got in the car he asked if we could color Chase a picture.  He said he missed him.  I did too!

Dads Night Out in Mrs. Dana's Class

A couple weeks ago Colton and Zak went to Dad's Night Out in Mrs. Dana's class.  I love that Zak took pictures  throughout the whole evening.  They had the best time together.  The theme was camping so Colton wore his new 777Ranch shirt daddy brought home for him.

Fall Family Pics

Last Saturday we took family pics with Kellie.
She knows us well and she captured our family to a T.  Although pictures can be a bit stressful we had a really fun time with it.

Enjoy the picture over load!
