January!

Zak went and got Bills old bandsaw, look what he found etched into it.
What a gift.

Colt has really been working with his new tools.

Chloe loves to snuggle at night, or uncomfortably lay on me.

Just hanging out in the car for lacrosse practice.
Day off=Shoe shopping!
They wanted to visit this store and they were impressed with the selection but MAN they are proud of those shoes.
Lazy  long 4 day weekend and trying out the new grill!
And a little swimming...

First Game...First injury.
Colt got hit in the arm with a stick.  Many times. He was out after game one. It was scary  we were really afraid he broke his arm because he couldn't move it.  The trainer checked him out and felt pretty positive it wasn't broken. Colton chose to stay and cheer on his teammates even though he couldn't play.

To the Ortho to make sure there's no break.
Thank goodness i'ts only a bone bruise.  Missed one day of practice and then back at it!
Chloe still cuddling.

The boys got permission to start going back into Sydney Harbor to fish.  They couldn't be happier and caught probably 20 fish this month.
Colt works out in his "shop" 3-4 nights a week.
Lazy Chase.  Pushover Grandad.
Back at the game. Big guy (he was huge!) and Colt.
Nothing like horrible weather and tornando warnings that went on for HOURS.
We spent over two straight hours in the hall.
Singing, playing and eating lunch.  4 teachers 35 4 and 5 year olds.

By the end of the day we got over 6 inches of rain.

Speaking of rain, it wasn't a great weekend for lacrosse. Days later, still dreary and rainy.
But the games went on!

Cypress got caught in a train of rain and after getting over 6 inches on Tuesday, we got almost 6 inches on Sunday.
We've had enough but more is forecasted along with Chilly temps.
Lazy Sunday! We all loved this movie!

Jesus Christ Superstar

For Christmas, Becky gifted dad tickets to Jesus Christ Superstar, Dads favorite musical.  My whole life we've heard dad talk about how much he loved this musical.  When Becky found out it would be here in Houston she got dad a ticket and invited us a long.  We went to dinner before the show eat Nash.  It wasn't exactly what I expected when I picked the spot but, the food was great. We all really enjoyed the show but most of all, I loved that we were together. As usual, we missed mom very much.  I guess this is our forever normal. She would have loved to be there.

While we were out Pa came down to hang with the boys.  I think they all had a great time too!

#43

Happy Happy Happy Birthday ZAK!
What can I say that I haven't already said a million times?  We're sooooo lucky to have you!

Sorry it was a low key day but we stretched out the celebrating with Gaga and Grandad on Sunday and a big surprise gift.  Tuesday, your actual birthday,  fell on our busiest sport night so we divided up and met up for a super late dinner after lacrosse and jujitsu at Whataburger.

Date Night and Deer Lease

While Zak and Colt were at the lease, I spent the weekend redeeming my Christmas gift from Chase.  For Christmas he got me a "Date Night".  Cracker Barrel, Movies and Starbucks.  Since we had the WHOLE weekend, we had Cracker Barrel pancakes for dinner Friday.  Watched Avatar and had dinner in the theater on Saturday. Then snuck in an extra trip to Orange Leaf. And, for Sunday breakfast went for coffee at Starbucks.
It was PERFECT!  A weekend neither of us will forget.
Meanwhile, Zak and Colt were living it up at the lease with Davis and P.
They didn't see a thing but had a great time!
