ITS TIME TO GET STARTED!

Zak was working at the kitchen table and realized Joe, our pool guy was in the back yard.  He walked out and Joe said he was in the area and stopped by to just see about the lines they drew for the electric and cable, etc. He said he had an opening to dig two days later and we were up next on he list so if we were good to go, we could get started!  Zak was over the moon!
In two weeks this is the progress that was made.  I think we would have been much further a long but we've had a few very very very rainy days that have set us back.
We're so impressed and so excited!

Happy Birthday Zak

We've spent three days celebrating Zak.  It wasn't much, nothing over the top.  Dinner with his mom, Locattelies with the boys, and a lunch and coffee date with me and him on his actual birthday since we have a night full of sports.  He deserves so much more but I think he had a nice relaxing birthday.
Zak,
We're so luck your have you.  You make our days better every day.  We love you so much!

December Doings

NYE

We didn't get to ring in the New Year as planned and it looked very different than past years.  No dressing up, not munchies, no friends or family.  We ordered dinner in, popped a few fireworks, hung out in the driveway, watched tv on the couch while Chase entertained us with his singing and dancing and counted down in the garage (in our PJs) with a great firework show all around us.
Our hostess with the mostest tested positive for Covid a few days back  (like so so so many friends and family we know with it) and poor Colt has been horribly under the weather for most of the week.  We found out we were exposed to Covid Christmas Eve so we all played it safe and laid low for a couple days.  Colton started feeling a bit off Dec 27th (although now he tells me it was Christmas night).  He had a headache and an on and off sore throat but nothing big.  After two negative covid at home tests, we thought he was fine then on the 29th, he started running a fever and feeling really awful.  He spent the next 3 days in bed.  We took him to Texas Children's on the 29th and got a PCR test and he was again negative.  We think he had the flu but we only talked to the Dr through messages so we never tested him.  He  continued to tell me "nothing hurts" but he was so run down.  Slept day and night and just felt awful! Even tonight, we thought he was feeling better but he got exhausted quickly and was aleep by 10pm.

Not a great way to start the New Year but he's on the mend and I'm just thankful he had plenty of time to rest and relax!
