Christmas at Nana's

Last night we celebrated Christmas at Nana's house before she left for California. She made an excellent pork roast dinner and she spoiled Colton with a watermelon, just for him. What a treat this time of the year, watermelon is his all time favorite thing to eat! Thank you Nana for the gifts and dinner. We enjoyed celebrating with you since you won't be here with us on Christmas day.

Lights in the Heights

Last weekend we went to Lights in the Heights. We had such a great time. You'll have to excuse my pictures. The weather was really weird and this is how the pictures turned out on everyones camera. It looks like snow, but we've had our one snow for the year in Houston so it definitely wasn't snowing!
This was one of the most beautiful houses we walked past. Here is Zak and Colton both enjoying their very first parade, ever! This was just after Mayor Bill White gave Coton a thumbs up. Zak looks as excited as Colton. We even saw Aunt Taylor and her two friends Janessa and Julia.
Still NOT snowing!
This was our favorite house. It got the award for "Most Wattage". The family who lived there were holding a private party they called the Griswald Party. Some of the people out front were dressed as characters from the movie. Very cool house!

Santa's Wonderland

Tonight we took our 2nd annual trip to Bass Pro Shop for an evening at Santa's Wonderland. Colton was much more interested in everything this year and we had more fun then we expected! We met Grandma and PawPaw there.
While I waited in line Colton enjoyed the BIG fish!
His visit with Santa started out with a fist bump but when Daddy moved away the tears started.
After Santa, Daddy helped Colton shoot a target with laser gun. Colton was so excited. He is all boy and going to be just like his daddy!
Then he found it... the PERFECT Christmas present!
I think this gift will have to wait until next year. Santa told me that Colton's been such a good boy this year that he already has all of his presents wrapped and ready to go!

Christmas Countdown ... 16 DAYS!
