That's TACKY!

Last weekend Zak and I were invited to a tacky sweater party at our neighbors house.  We hit up quite a few Goodwill's to find the tackiest sweaters possible.
Mine had been very well loved in a past life and was pretty awful.  Zak's was more girly than tacky. He told me he was going for a "Cam Look", as in Cam from Modern Family.  Also, what you cant see, he's wearing crocks!

Some friends from College came in from out of town.
And some of our other neighbors, and good friends,  joined in the fun.
This is David, the host.  (I didn't get a picture of Mandi, his wife :()
For those of you who don't know, Zak and David were College roommates for 2 years in good 'ol Nacogdoches. He and his wife bought the house next door to us when Colton turned one and we  have
absolutely loved it.  Their daughter,Peyton (pictured above) and Chase are only about 2 weeks a part.  They are such blessings in our life.
This picture cracks me up.  It reminds me so much of college.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
We have our family tree up and stockings hung.

 Santa Visited Coltons school.

Coltons "Baby" tree is up and decorated with ornaments he chose and hung all by himself.

The lights are on the house.

And, we visited Santa's Wonderland.

We saw where he lived and worked.

And, stopped by to see Santa again.  Colton had to make sure he knew what was on his list.
(A scooter, Thomas tent, and shot gun (it's a nurf riffle with a deer target for hunting))

This Christmas is going to be so much fun.  Colton is old enough to understand and get excited about all things Christmas.  He is also old enough to really start learning about the real meaning of Christmas. It's important that he understand that we celebrate because it is Jesus' Birthday.
We are excited to have Chase here to celebrate his first Christmas. We look forward to all of the family time we have ahead of us this Holiday Season.

Thanksgiving with MeeMaw

Last week we celebrated Thanksgiving in Idalou Tx. With my MeeMaw and the Harrison side of the family.  For as long as I can remember we've traveled up to Idalou for Thanksgiving. It is one of my most favorite places on Earth.  We enjoyed celebrating with my MeeMaw and just being there with her.  She's 92 years young and has had some health issues the past year but is one of the strongest women I know.  She really is an inspiration to us all.  She has an amazing attitude about life and how you live it.  She doesn't let anything slow her down.  I hope one day I can be half the lady she is.

This trip was Chases first vacation and road trip.  We spent about 18 hours in the car, round trip and he did great.  (So did big brother thanks to a DVD player.) Colt, Chase and I drove up on Sunday with Nanny, Grandad, and Baa and Zak and Sadie joined us on Wednesday.
We had lots of family time, relaxed, enjoyed each others company.
There were a  few minor disasters (plumbing issues), and a few minor meltdowns from a certain 3 year old,
but lots to celebrate.  Thanksgiving, Micheal and Kenzies engagement, my 32nd Birthday and Chases 6 month birthday.
We ate lots,  shopped lots, slept a little and enjoyed every second of our time there.

Here is our week in pictures.  They are backwards, sorry.
