Tonight, we went to the Texans with friends.  It was a nice night out and I got to hang out with JJ!

Santas Wonderland!

We went on our 5th trip to Santa's Wonderland and I think it was our best trip yet!  We went on  Tuesday, got there pretty close to opening (after a detour back to the house when my contact ripped in half!) and pretty much had the place to ourselves, not to mention the weather was great!  Of course there were others there but we didn't wait long at all for  anything, except he family train and that wait wasn't bad at all.  We even rode the hayride TWICE!

Chase was so excited to see Frosty.  He even stood in line for a picture but when we got up there, he refused to go up.  We thought he might actually make it up there, maybe next year!

Road trip, christmas party, and deer hunting...OH MY!

This weekend we went up to Grandbury to visit with college friends.  We always have the best time at Doc and Peaches.  They are such great hosts! We enjoyed the weekend relaxing, hunting, shopping, cooking, and catching up.   On Friday morning, the boys went out to the lease with Zak.  Zak was beyond excited about this and so were the boys.  After going to bed pretty late the night before they got up around 5:15, bundled up, and headed out.  I got up with them to see them off and of course couldn't go back to sleep I was so excited about it all.  Zak was loaded down getting in the deer blind (with ice covered steps) and once they were up there, the boys lasted exactly two hours.  And they were COLD!  Zak said that Colt spooked a deer  and it ran off, devastating him and Chase was just flat out COLD! At one point he said, "Dad I can't feel my toes!"   But, Zak said despite the hassle of getting them up there and ready to go, the cold and not lasting as long as planned, it was quite possibly one of the BEST DAYS EVER.   I know it's a day they will all remember.  I'm sure there are many many many hunting trips in their future!   Colt's ready...Chase may need it to warm up a bit!

Each of the classes in Colton's school are adopting a family.  (Thats over 50 families!!!) They've asked for donations from each student to go towards the family they are adopting.  The principal thought it would be a great lesson if the kids worked for this money. So, we talked to Colt about doing just that.  And, he was really excite about it.  Colt was constantly asking what he could do to earn some money. We told him whatever he earned, we would double.  So all week over Thanksgiving break, he worked on things around the house.  He did so well and was so excited to donate his money to his class and help a family out!!!!

Chase has been doing so well in class.  Here's a picture he drew.  "I can look." he's sitting in a deer blind looking at a deer.  LOOOOOVE this!
And, the other day his teacher tested the kinder site words, he knew 13 of 30!!!! Thanks you reading class!!!!!!

The boys LOOOOOVE to decorate for Christmas!   4 trees down (and two tiny ones in their rooms) and I think we're ready!!!!!

Santa visited school!

Today, Santa came to Foundry.  Chase was so excited.  We walked in the front door and he walked by Santa like,  I'm the cool kid.  Look at me! During his class, he got to visit  Santa. Chase- I want a blue scooter, a jeep just for me and a real 4 wheeler. Santa- I have a BIG sled!
