SuRPriSe!
On Wednesday, I turn 30. THIRTY ... Wow. It looks even older then it sounds when I see it written down.
Last night Zak took me out to one of my favorite restaurants, Mia Bella, for a special birthday date. We enjoyed our first dinner, with just the two of us, in a very long time. We had a perfect table right by the window. We enjoyed people watching, awesome food and each others company. After a very filling, and yummy, dinner Zak was insistent that we head over to our favorite dessert place, Dessert Gallery. I might have been stuffed but I couldn't pass up a slice of "the big O" oreo mousse cake. I was in the mood to hang out a little while longer and enjoy our time alone but Zak was ready to head home, and I was okay with that. Pjs and a movie were in our future.
Little did I know that there were big plans waiting for us at home. Zak called up a few of my closest friends and family and they were waiting to surprise me.
And SurPRiSeD I was!
Everything was perfect. Colton was still up, my favorite friends and family, more food and drinks then I could imagine, and even presents were waiting for me. Just when I thought I couldn't have a more awesome thoughtful hubby, he pulls something like this off! I had an amazing time!
Thank you to everyone who came, thank you for the gifts, thank you for your friendship. You are all so special to me!

Who needs toys...
Who needs toys when you have
lids..
cookies sheets...
and daddy's cell phone!?!?!?
We've been searching high and low for the perfect Christmas present for Colton but he really doesn't need toys to be happy. At the end of most days our house, which is stocked like a Toys R Us, has only a few toys out of place. Colton spends most of the day playing with anything but toys. Today these were just a few of the things he had fun with. He also spent about 45 minutes this morning tearing apart a small box.

The. Sweetest. Thing.
This afternoon Colton and I were playing.
He stopped what he was doing.
Looked at me.
Leaned over.
And gave me one big sloppy messy kiss on the cheek.
