First Friend Sleep Over

Last night, the boys had their first friend sleep over.  They spent the entire day going back and forth from our house and Addys so I decided it was a perfect day to have a sleepover.  The boys ate dinner with Addy then they all came over to stay.  They had a great time playing and watching iPads.  Chase was so tired and feel asleep about 11.  Addy and Colt were determined to make it till 12.  I can't tell you if they made it (they say they did) because I fell asleep about 11:45.  They had a great time.

Jellystone Park

This weekend we went "camping".  I put that in quotes because everyone told me it was not camping since we had campers...YES it was!  But, it was fun.  We made memories our kids will always remember.  IT was HOT but we had such a blast!  We are so blessed with awesome neighbors who have become some of our greatest friends.
Trips like this are what our kids will look back on and remember as adults.
In no order at all...

Boys Birthday Weekend at Hyatt

This year the boys decided to forgo big birthday parties with friends for a trip away to Hyatt Hill Country.  I was over the moon with the thought of not having to plan a party and they loved the idea of getting a vacation to one of their most favorite places!
We left early Sunday morning and got to the hotel right after lunch. We checked in early and headed straight down to the pool.
And that was all she wrote...
We very rarely left the pool or even got out of our suits.
We had such a nice relaxing time.  It was just what we all needed.
Family time!
We swam, rode the slide, floated the lazy river, enjoyed good food together, watched Turbo on the lawn, roasted marshmallows to make smores, played at the park, hung out on the balcony (the boys favorite part of the room), went for a bike ride, rode Flo Rider (well 3 of of us did-one of those only once), made new friends, stayed up late and slept in late. When our time at Hyatt was done, we took a detour to eat a Grape Juice and walk around in Fredericksburg.
It couldn't have been a more perfect trip away.

11 Year Anniversary

This year we celebrate 11 years!
11 years ago, I said "I DO" to this guy.  I always knew I wanted to spend my whole life with him, but I never knew how wonderful he'd make my life.  Sure, we have our differences.  It's not always flowers and love but even when we argue, I know we will always figure it out, or Zak will give in.  ;) He loves me unconditionally and he is the most loyal man I know.  He is an amazing dedicated husband and father.
I am so proud to call him my husband.

We said we weren't going to do much for our anniversary since we were leaving the day after for a few days away with the kids. I should have known better. As usual, Zak planned a ton of surprises for me.  On Friday, (the day before our anniversary) I woke up to a card on the counter.  He wrote a sweet note to me but he ended it telling me about a surprise date he planned for that evening and told me to wear something nice.  The day went on and the boys and I had a few things to do.  I was excited for our date.  After our errands, we came home to find a beautiful vase of flowers and a gift waiting on the counter.  A beautiful necklace, Zak picked out just for me. He sure is full of surprises.  After 11 years, I should know.  He got home and we got ready for our date.  I gave him my gift, silicone rings for both of us.  (Totally lame after all he did!!!!) We took the boys to my parents and enjoyed a night out at McCormick and Schmick in City Center.
Saturday, our actual anniversary, we spent the day being lazy and hanging out getting ready for our trip.  Once again, it was an awesome celebration, because of my guy!

Lazy Mornings!

These two, and maybe mommy, have been sleeping in.
Late.
The day after the 4th, both boys slept and slept and slept.  Neither of them was really up and going until almost 11.  Chase would get up move to a different spot and go back to sleep.
This picture was taken about 9, when I got up.  Both boys had come into us and fallen back asleep.
Colt got up around 9:45 and Chase got up about 9:15, moved to the living room and fell asleep in the recliner, moved to the couch and fell asleep there till almost 11.

We're so enjoying our LAZY mornings!
