Happy Mother's Day

Today has been such a great great day. Colton and Zak have made me feel like a princess all day long.
My Mother's Day actually started last weekend when I went in for a much needed haircut. Then, this week I was able to pick out my own Mother's Day present and did a little shopping. This morning we all slept in and went to a late breakfast at Kolachie Factory.
Look at this sweet gift (Dirt Cake) I got from my sweet neighbor, and dear friend, Mandi.
After a trip to Toys-R-Us, to pick out Colton's Birthday present, we enjoyed lunch with GaGa and Zak's family.
(Thanks Andi and Taylor for cooking for the mommies!)
After lunch, we made a quick stop by Nanny's to see my family.
Yesterday, Colton and I treated Nanny to breakfast and spent the morning and afternoon with her while Zak was out of town.
I am so blessed.
I have such an amazing family and wonderful moms in my life to guide me through this amazing experience we call being a mommy.
Thank you to everyone who has made this day so special.
Thank you to my mom, and to Lori, for being amazing role models and for always being there.
Happy Mother's Day!

Jump and Play

This morning Colton and I met Nanny for breakfast at Panera. After bagels we headed to The Ruckus Room to jump and play.

Colton loves playing at the Ruckus Room. When we pulled into the parking lot he started to get really excited and took off his shoes. He was ready and didn't want to waste any time inside. On Tuesdays you get in for the age of your child so we only payed $1 to jump. Can't beat that deal!

Crawfish and Ice cream

Yesterday we went to some friends house for a crawfish boil. They have two little girls, Kennedy (1) and Reagan (8). After the crawfish was cleaned we washed out the pool and let the kiddos play in the water. The girls had already been swimming once but Colton wanted nothing to do with the pool. Later on in the afternoon he was ready to play. And play he did!

We had such a great time and Colton had so much fun with the girls! He slept well last night.

Last week Baskin Robins had 31 cent ice cream night to raise money for local fire fighters. We took Colton out for an after dinner treat. He loved his ice cream and insisted on eating it all on his own.
He even got to drive a fire truck.

And peak into the back of an ambulance.
A trip out for ice cream turned into a really fun evening out.
