There is NO ONE else in the world I'd spend a weekend like this for!
We love you Mosty-Most!

It was the HOTTEST I've ever been in my life but the lease is beautiful.  We had a lot of fun with friends swimming, 4 wheeling, hanging out and sweating.
Sweating a lot!

Braves End Of Season Party

We went to Colt's End of Season Party last night.  We are proud of the season he had and how much he learned.  When coach gave him his award he told him he'd become one of the best power hitters on the team.  He can smack that ball! We enjoyed the boys and families so much on this seasons team.  The kids were great and it was so nice to have a team full of helpful friendly parents.
Too bad Mother Nature didn't cooperate.  We were on a winning streak in the play offs.  But, we ended with a win and the game prior to that was Colts best game ever.  In the bottom half of the last inning, Colt drove in two runs to tie the game and then scored the winning run all with two outs.  I have no pictures because I was screaming too much but I will never forget how proud he was running into home.  He had the biggest smile on his face.  The whole team rushed the field screaming and cheering.  One of the kids said it was "EPIC!"
That it was!

AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR

Colton, is our little monkey.  He loves climbing and hanging from everything.  When we go to a park he wants to know if there are monkey bars, if not the park is not worthy.  So, for an end of year surprise, we signed him up for a trial class at Iron Sports an American Ninja Warrior gym, here in Houston. The owner Sam Sann is an American Ninja Warrior and is often on the show.  We didn't tell him where we were going until we arrived and when he found out, he was so excited. We signed Chase up for a class too but weren't sure if he'd want to participate.  It was a bit hectic when we arrived and he decided it wasn't his thing but he enjoyed watching his brother and at the end got to try out the warped wall.
The class started quickly and the kids were whisked upstairs to warm up.  Colt wash't too sure what we had signed him up for during warm up but as soon as he got to try out some of the activities, he was hooked.  And, he was really good at it!  NO surprise there.
He said his favorite was the warped wall.  He even made it up the smaller one!
Before we left, we signed up for classes and met Sam Sann who the boys didn't recognize but will be excited to see on the the TV this season of American Ninja Warrior.  He we so sweet to stop what he was doing for a picture and lots of encouraging words about working hard and loving what you do.
It was such a fun experience and I can not wait to see how Colt grows in this experience.

Can't wait for next Tuesday!!!

2016 Graduates

Last night, I got an invite to a graduation party for a little girl in my very first kindergarten class. I was so honored to be included! After seeing that invite, I decided to go through some of my old teaching stuff. I found this picture of my first class. Seeing this picture brought back a flood of memories and made me a little emotional. I loved teaching. Sure, there were days it was tough and a challenge but there were so many more days that were so rewarding. I had so many wonderful kids that I still think of often. I feel very blessed that today, I am a stay at home mom who still gets to teach. I do it now on a much smaller scale but this year I completed my 12th year of teaching. I love the kids I have taught over the years and I wish them all so much happiness and success. It's hard to believe some of my school "babies" are adults now. Here's to my first class all graduating high school this year!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!

Yesterday, Colt had his end of year party on what was suppose to be the last day of school.  But, because of the April Floods, the school year was extended a day.  Zak and I volunteered to help with the jumpy houses.  It was fun to watch the kids play and we were so happy the rain held off so the kids could do the out door activities.  After the party, the kids went back to the class room for awards and Colt got the Citizenship Award and "Radiant Reader" Award from Mrs. Raia.  He's had such a great year but reading hasn't been his favorite.  That is my goal for the summer...to make reading FUN! We are proud of how well he did all year long!

 LAST DAY!!!!!!!
And, a little rain couldn't keep us from playing outside with the neighbors to celebrate!
