HAPPY HALLOWEEN

We had a great time with friends and family walking around, Trick-Or-Treating.  This year was different.  For the first time, we didn't take the wagon and it forced the boys to walk around.  But, they didn't walk, they ran.  SO fast, no one could keep up with them.  Last year it took us about two hours to get to the "haunted house" around the corner.  This year we were there in 45 minutes.  And, the kids ended up with 4 times as much candy as they did last year.  It was such a fun night.  It's a night we all look forward to! Both of the boys are already talking about what they will dress up as next year.

Pumpkin Patch

So, we made it to the Pumpkin Patch by the skin of our teeth this year.  It's a tradition so we can't miss it!  I thought this year we'd just go and enjoy and if I got a few pictures, great.  If not, ok.
Well, that wasn't the case.  We got there and it was packed and I was determined to get a good picture.  But, no one else was determined to get that picture.  We had fun but Colt and I left in a bit of a mood.  :) We headed to dinner after to unwind.
Next year, NO STRESS! Just fun!

The Little Pea...Pumpkin

Colton's school library held their first annual pumpkin book character last week.  Colt chose to make his pumpkin into  "Little Pea"  who hates CANDY!  Hates it.  But,  Momma and Papa Pea make him eat his candy, fives bites, before he can have his dessert....SPINACH.  His favorite!
Of course, Chase had to get in on the action and made his pumpkin into Mike W. from Monsters Inc.

Tonight, we headed up to school for Book Fair Family Night and saw all the pumpkins on display.

Dads Night Out

Tonight, after 5  Dad's Nights Out,  Zak went to his last Dad's Night Out, with Chase.  It was bittersweet.  Chase was so excited to have him at school with him and show him around.  They had such a fun time.  I ran into them at the book fair coming in to set up my class and Chase kept trying to get me to leave.  This is such a special night.  Dad doesn't always get to be at school, so it's fun to see a  school full of involved dads and kiddos having fun!
And, who'd have ever thought that 15 years ago, when David and Zak were college roommates that they would be at Dad's Night Out together with their kiddos!?!?!  My how times have changed.

Bring a friend...

Last Monday was "bring a friend to gym" day and Chase of course asked Braxton to come.  They had so much fun together.  Coach Mike asked me after warm up if they were best friends and I told him they were great buddies.  He said they held hand trying to balance on one leg and it made him laugh. I don't know how I missed that!  Jackson takes gym at the same time so it was fun to watch all three of them.

 And...
a little more silliness from these two bed buds!

Proud of this guy... #8

Colton had THE BEST game on Saturday! He hit a double and a single and scored his first run of the season, sliding into home.  Then, twice in a row he made awesome plays catching the ball and tagging players out at third to save the inning.
It's so much fun to watch these games.  The kids are really learning the game and getting good at it too,  unfortunately, we lost the game by one but the kids played so hard and had fun.
Way to go #8!
