Coltie Reid-
You are such a joy.  You are so full of energy yet a little timid at the same time. You are kindhearted, loving, snuggly, helpful, and shy. You love your brother and all of your family. You love to sing along with your favorite songs and you make us laugh with your silly stories. You are enjoying swim lessons (although you won't swim at the big pool) and your reading class.  You love to learn and you are even reading some readers from your reading class. We are so proud of all you are learning and who you are becoming.
You are so special to us.

We celebrated your birthday by having a joint  party with your brother and a few close friends and family a few weeks ago but on your real birthday we wanted to celebrate you all day long!
You wanted to have a water day in the back yard so we started out with donuts and then got the pool out early early before it go too hot out. You and your brother had fun splashing around. After a little swimming we had a surprise visitor.  Jackson and his mommy.  They stayed and played for a  little bit and afterwards and we headed to HEB to get a few things for your birthday gathering tonight.  We spent the rest of the day playing, hanging out and resting up.  My favorite part of the afternoon was the balloon fight!  Your birthday evening we met up with some of the family at Willies, your choice, because you wanted Power Aid with dinner.  You had your first Happy Birthday singing serenade by the Willies waitresses.  You wouldn't look up and didn't want to eat the ice cream they brought you but once we got home you said you liked having them sing to you.  After dinner we came home for presents and cookie cake.

I had the best day celebrating you.  Today is a very very special day for mommy too because today is the day I become a mommy.  Something I always dreamed of being.  I can't imagine being anyone elses mommy!  I love you so very much!

Give me a head with hair...

Give me a head with hair, long beautiful hair
 Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there, momma, ev'rywhere, daddy, daddy.
 Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
 Hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it, my hair
Let it fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees, give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas (yeah) a hive for bees (yeah),
A nest for birds, there ain't no words for the beauty, the splendor, the wonder of my:

 Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it, long as God can grow it, my hair

TBall Party

A few weeks ago we had our last TBall game of the season.  We all already miss it so much!  Zak, Chase, and I had such a fun time meeting new people, making new friends and cheering on the Rays.  Colton had such a great time and played really hard all season long.

This weekend we had a little reunion and our end of season TBall Party at Coach K and Ms. Brenda's house.  They did such a great job putting it all together.
Colton gave Coach K his FIRST autographed ball (I didn't get a pic. Boo) and a special hand written card as a thank you. Coach did so much for the boys this season.
Here is Colton receiving his awards.  "Mr. Sticky Feet" is what they called him because he had a hard time getting moving at some (most) of the games.  He was so proud of his trophy!

All the boys had the best time.  They played and played and played!

In fact, they played so hard and we had such a fun time we closed down the party at 7:45.  It was a long day but we had the best time.  Unfortunately ;) no pictures, but even the big people made it down  the water slide!

Swim Lessons

Last week Colton had his very first swim lesson.  He did great!  He had private lessons with Ms. Lori and Barrett had lessons with another swim coach at the same time.   This time last year, I'm not sure Colton wouldn't have even made it in the pool on his own.   He has grown up so much and I see his confidence each and every day. I'm so proud of how Colton did.  He jumped right in and got started.  By the end of the 30 minute lesson I could tell he was getting tired but he powered through.
Ms. Lori said in 8 lessons he would be swimming across the pool!  I can't wait to see that!  We head back tomorrow and I am excited to see how lesson #2 goes.
He is so excited about the lessons and being in the water and he absolutely LOVES his new coach, Ms. Lori.

Chase didn't get in but loved the "wadda"!

Brothers...

There's no other love like the love for a brother.

It was nice growing up with someone like you - someone to lean on,
someone to count on... someone to tell on!

FATHERS DAY 2013

Happy Fathers Day to all the Father's in my life.
Daddy-Grandad-PawPaw
Thank you for  supporting us, making us laugh and loving us unconditionally.
We all love you so much and can't imagine our life with out you!!!

The morning started with some goodies and breakfast for daddy.
Zak decided, for his day, he wanted to spend the day smoking ribs and chicken for our dads (and family). We spent the  morning outside getting ready and the afternoon hanging out with everyone.
Dinner turned out amazing and we had such a fun time having everyone over.
