Back with the Crew!

It’s been such a fun, relaxing weekend with our college crew! We missed way too much time with these friends while the world had to shut down. Happy to be back with them!

The Baseball Season That Lasted FOREVER!

Chase had such a GREAT baseball season with the Rangers.
Great kids.
Great coaches.
And, THEY CAME IN FIRST PLACE FOR THE REGULAR SEAONS!!!!!!
Playoffs came with 11 straight days of rain.  Many many rain outs.  Two games called a few minutes in.  One game called as we drove out to the fields.  Then, we ended up loosing the first two games and we were out.  Playoffs are still going on and should have ended around May 22.

While we were still waiting for the rain we had a RAINY end of season swim party.  The kids had a blast!

Mother's Day Without My Mom

Mother's Day isn't fun to think about one month after your own Mom passes away.
This year, it was a day I downright dreaded.
How could we celebrate when my mom wasn't here anymore?
Our first Mother's Day without here here with us.  Without a hug.  Without being able to tell her how much we adore her.
My guys and the Harrison crew stepped up and made it the best it could be.
We started the weekend by having Lori over for dinner.  It was a nice night so Zak grilled fajitas and we all hung outside.
Sunday, the boys spoiled me with gifts.  Glenda and Jerry invited us over for lunch and hanging out.  We spent the day eating, relaxing  and talking about mom.  It was JUST what my heart needed. I'm so thankful to Glenda for putting that together.  It was hard to be with family, without mom, but being able to talk about her with everyone who loved her, really helped.  When we got home the boys and Zak did some of my Sunday chores and we all relaxed.  We planted a rose bush in Moms honor this weekend.  As a kid I can remember playing out front and mom always pruning her rose bushes.  She loved her flowers!
I hope I can do her proud with this rose bush I picked out special, just for her!

Happy Mother's Day to the greatest mom in the world.
We love you so much and we missed you horribly today!
