Brother Shopping...

Last week, we divided up the boys.  They wanted to shop for each other.  They both chose to shop at Target so Zak took Colt and I took Chase.  They had a 20$ budget and got to choose anything for each other.  They both put so much thought into their gifts.  

They could hardly stand to wait for Christmas morning so we let them open each others gifts on Christmas eve.  They were both so thankful and grateful for their gifts and they were both so proud of what they chose.  Whats amazing is they both got each other 4 gifts and spent exactly 12.04$! They also chose very similar things for each other.  Love these two boys!!!!

Christmas Parties

Today, The boys had their Christmas parties at school.  Zak and I both got to join in on the fun.  

 On Thursday, Chase had Polar Express Day at school.  He sure was excited to wear PJs!

SO PROUD!

We are so proud of these two right here.   SO PROUD! Chase has been doing so well in kinder.  He brings home writing that is so great .  He's mastered all of the kinder sight words and he's reading at a level C which is where he should be by the end of kinder.   Colt has had a bit of a challenging year.  2nd grade has been much more challenging than we ever imagined.  But, with struggle, he has worked really really really hard at it.  He has had some tough times but, last week he had a huge math test.  This week, we found out he only missed ONE on the test.  He made a 96 (although he hasn't gotten the official grade back)!!!!  We are so beyond proud of our sweet sweet boys.  We love them so much.  We took them to celebrate at Gringos!

Mom, It's been quite a challenging year.  So much has changed.  But, we love you with all of our heart and we're here to take great care of you.  I am so thankful we were able to celebrate you with potato soup, whopper bars and lots of love.  We love you so very much! Santa's Wonderland...

...Take two! Last week we headed up to Santa's Wonderland and as we were getting off the bus, the heavens opened.  We decided to forgo our trip and hold off and try this week. I am sooooo glad we did!   We pulled up 5 minutes before opening to an almost empty parking lot.  We walked right in and didn't wait for a single thing inside!  The crowds were so low, it was great!  The weather was also great although by the time we left it was flat out COLD!  We had such a great time tonight. It's beginning to look a lot ...

Like Christmas! We stared off the Thanksgiving break at Baa and Allen's decorating their tree before they left for vacation. 

 The Wednesday before Thanksgiving Zak put the lights outside... 

 And, the boys decorated the tree.

 The Friday after Thanksgiving, SNOWMAN CAME BACK!!!!!

 And, we ended the break decorating Nanny and Grandad's tree on Sunday night.  

ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!!!!
And, I have to add, over the break I stepped up my shopping game and I am almost finished with Christmas shopping!   Now, to enjoy the season!
