Greame's Run-Zaks first 5K!

Today Zak ran his firs 5K with his buddy Nick. He did an amazing job and even ran with a 21 lb weight vest on.  With no prior training or running, he ran the race in about 35 minutes.   It was a beautiful day for a run for a great cause!

Zak mowed, Aunt Me treated them to snow cones and then they swam.   February or summer?!?!?!!

Roller Skating

Chase was invited to a roller skating party for his buddy, Tex.  Colt tagged along too since neither of them had ever been before!  Thank goodness for the walkers!!! I'm not sure Chase could have done it if he didn't have one.  Mom or dad would have had to for sure get out there with him.  He was slow at first, like a little 80 year old man.  Took 10 minutes to make a lap  but he didn't give up.  As the night went on, he got faster! Colt enjoyed it but felt safer with the walker.  After a few minutes he just wanted to use the walker to pull him along.  

DI Work Day

Readers

2nd grade hasn't been easy.   It's not always fun but, Colt (and I) works really really hard to keep his grades up.   In the midst of finding out whats going on, we found out that Colton needs readers!  

Man, I think he's handsome!!!! 

When we got home and he put the readers on, he looked up at me and said, "Mom, this words are soooo big!"  His handwriting immediately improved as well.
