What's Up February

Lots and Lots of Lacrosse!

I won!
I got to volunteer at Spartan Store for Colt.
Chase and I did a little Valentines shopping.
Zak and Colt headed out to the Aggie Land Tourney in College Station.
Chase and I stayed home and went for a later breakfast.
No pictures out at the fields because they were too cold to worry about pictures!  It even started snowing shortly after they left.
Chase went to Tex birthday party and played kickball for hours!  Super cool place.  Too bad it was frigid!

Super-duper LOW KEY Valentine's Day with my loves!
The boys had a few days off mid February.  We stayed super busy! Pa came down and we took the boys to Urban Air.
Zak and I even snuck in a little date night while the boys stayed with Grandad.
We ended the weekend with lunch at Central Market with our favorite two year old.
And spent a beautiful Monday at the park!
2.25.22 would have been my mom and dads 44th wedding anniversary.
💜
My dads first without her.
We met dad at La Madeline, a place we all went for or with mom so many time. Pastries and coffee were one of her favorite things.
We met up, caught up, talked about mom and just spent time together, the three of us. Tonight we met again with everyone for “Friday Night Dinner”.
We miss her so much but we feel her with us. She will always be part of our celebrations and our every day.
.

More wet and VERY cold Lacrosse!

15 months after Becky gave me a gift certificate for my birthday,  we finally made it to paint!
A much needed "sistor" night!

Making Progress...ALMOST there!

All we lack is a little grass a little rock and the cool deck sprayed on the concert!
We will be summer ready in no time at all!

It hit!

After a few days of not feeling 100% Chase was sent home with a belly ache on Monday.  To get him back into school, we had to test.  So we took him for a PCR test on Tuesday and he rested all day. Slept all day.  That night, the test came back negative.  The next morning, his cough was bad but he felt alright.  We kept him home.  He ended the week at school on Thursday and Friday feeling just fine.
Fastforward to Saturday morning.  Zak and I hadn't been feeling 100%. Him since Tuesday and me since Wednesday.  But, Chase didn't have Covid.  It had to be a cold we all caught.  We had things to do and sports to play so we got up early for Colts games out in Magnolia.  As I was getting ready I realized I couldn't smell my make up.  I started smelling everything in the house.  Nothing, not even Vicks smelled.  I went into complete panic mode.  We tested and all of us were positive immediately except for Colt.  Grandad came to get him for the game and the rest of us hunkered down for the weekend/next 5 days.  No one felt awful but my cough was horrible and lasted for weeks.  Zak lingered a while too.  Were thankful it was easy on us.
