Inventions and Donuts

 Today I volunteered for Inventor's Day at Colt's school.  He was so excited about the day. I volunteered in the Cotton Gin rotation.  Here he is with Benjamin Franklin and in an invention dimension group.  I'm so thankful to be able to spend days like this with my boys. I'm also thankful their school does so much fun stuff.  They work hard (really hard!).  They deserve days like this!!!!

This morning, Chase had to be at school bright and early because his buddy, Max, invited him to have breakfast with the first grade teachers after winning it in a school auction.  He was so excited to have two donuts! 

A Much Awaited Adventure

This past week, Zak and Andi took Bill on a much awaited adventure to go see his son and daughter, Zak's half brother and sister, in Wyoming. 

 This is something Zak has wanted to take his dad to do for years.  For as long as I can remember. 

I stole some pictures off Facebook from Andi and Zak sent me some of his favorites.  I'm pretty sure these pictures don't do justice to the memories they made.  

I am so grateful they had this time together. (And a little sad we missed out!)

NO MORE TONSILS

 After breathing issues (snoring), swallow issues and then more recently 5 bouts of Strep in 4 months, Chase's TONSILS ARE GONE!

Today he had surgery and he did amazing! 

UPDATE:Two weeks later, Chase and his recovery went better than expected!  He was up and at 'um right after surgery.  Didn't even sleep the day of survey after getting home.  Maybe he had too many visitors and goodies dropped off! Day 2 thru 5 were pretty good,  his throat hurt but he did so well. He enjoyed a lot of ices, popsicles, ice cream, soft noodles, butter tortillas and jello. Then, day 6 hit.  He was in a lot of unexpected pain.  Day 7 was a bit better and day 8 he was back at school.  After Day 10 or 11 he didn't even have anymore pain meds and he was back to his wild and crazy self!  Day 14 he headed back to baseball practice and eating anything he wanted.  

We're so glad there are NO MORE TONSILS!

ASTROS SUNDAY FUN DAY

Easter Weekend!

 We had such a fun weekend! We took a day trip up to the lease.  While the boys worked and played the girls shopped and had wine!

 Saturday morning, we got up and went to the neighborhood egg hunt.  

Then came home and worked in the yard. 

Saturday night, the boys continued their tradition of sleeping in mom and dads room.  

Easter Sunday was full of family!
