Bob and Clair

My Uncle Bob and Cousin Clair came in from England for Christmas and we had the best time with them.  I feel like the first half of their trip went by so quickly with Christmas and New Years, but we got to enjoy a little bit more of a slow time after ringing in the New Year .  In all the craziness, we managed to get in a lot of hang out time.  They boys thought Bob and Clair came in just to play with them.

There were pillow fights
Coloring sessions
Trips out
Puzzle throwing competitions
Nerf target practice
Campouts inside
Lots and lots of dinners together
Chair spinning
Crafting sessions
And, lots and lots of silliness.
We enjoyed every minute of having them here and are so sad to see them leave.

It's a NEW YEAR!

We're almost a week into the New Year and I have to say its going great.  We are enjoying a break from school and have been spending a lot of time with family just hanging out and playing.
I wanted to share some pics from New Year's Eve.  We had the best time.  It might have been my favorite New Year's Eve EVER!!!  We are so blessed to have neighbors that have become dear friends.  (And, one set of neighbors that were dear friends that became neighbors.) Each year we hang out between the houses talk, play and pop a lot of fireworks. This year we decided to make munchies and set it all up in Matt's new "Man Cave" (the garage).
Colton had been waiting for all year for this day.  This reserved timid little man is not afraid of fireworks and loves setting them off! It was a cool, wet, rainy day and we worried we wouldn't be able to get to the fireworks.  We headed to the firework stand right after breakfast to stock up before anything sold out.  The boys were determined to set off fireworks no matter what!  We spent the day hanging out and resting up.  It was gloomy and wet all day.  About 7PM we headed outside to Matt and Amber's. It ended up raining on and off but  wasn't too cold out, so that was good. The rain didn't slow anyone down. The boys had such a fun time playing with their friends.  Colton set off fireworks and Chase ate and watched.  Chase made it 'til about 10:45 and Colt lasted 'til we went in, ringing in the New Year with everyone.  It was my favorite New Years Eve because I got to spend it with all three of my boys! (Last year Chase went to bed right after dinner and didn't make it outside with us.)

Not even a little burn would slow him down!!!

2012 was pretty good to us.  Here's to hoping 2013 is even better.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Snowman the Elf

The end of the season is near.
The new year starts in just 4 days.
We sure are going to miss Christmas around here.
We will miss Colton singing Christmas songs on the radio.
We will miss Chases excited screams at the lights and giant blow up Santas.
We will miss the anticipation and excitement of what Santa may bring.

We're going to miss the season and all it brings, but we are going to really miss Snowman the Elf.
He came to visit December 1st and that silly Elf  brought a smile to our faces each and every morning.

Colton told me last night how much he misses Snowman.
We're already counting down the days 'til he comes back to visit!!!!
