Time to move on... On to the next Endeavor

Almost 10 years ago I got the best graduation present...a brand new car.
A 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
I was so proud of my car.
I'll never forget the first day I drove it.  Mom and I went for bagels and an older lady stopped me and said is that your car? When I said yes, she said that is beautiful.  Its like a shiny silver bullet.  What she didn't know is how awesome that made me feel.  I was very proud of my new car.
Since graduating college me and my Mitsubishi have been through a lot together.

She helped Zak and I move into our first home...
She brought home our first child...
and, she was with us the day we completed our family.
In the time I've had this car my life has changes immensely (for the best).
This car has been a rock.  With minor issues here and there she's been through it all with me and my family from road trips to vacations to simple trips to the grocery store.
She was such a good car.
But, it's time to move on.
So, last Sunday, we sold her to a good home, Zaks cousin in Waco.

Today, we went shopping!
Although we started off with a bit of a rocky start...
The day turned out perfect.
And, if your going to buy a new car, why not get your moneys worth!?!?!
A few pens for the road.
We bought a White z71 Tahoe and we absolutely love it.
 LOVE.IT.
The boys spent the day with Kelly and MiMi and when we got home they were excited about THEIR new ride!
Colton jumped into the back and said, "Wow mom, I didn't know it would have these seats!"

We took it for a little ride and the boys were able to watch their new "Baby TV".
Coltons only request.

We headed over to Nanny and Grandads to meet everyone for Friday Night Dinner.  Baa, Grandad and I all squeezed in the back of the Tahoe.  It was tight but not too bad.
When things calmed down, after bath and before bed, the boys were trying out their new wireless headphones.  I had to include this picture because look at sweet Chases excited face!

Today was such a great day.  I am excited about my new car and can hardly wait to go get groceries in it tomorrow!
I am so grateful to Zak for making it possible and letting me pick ANYTHING I want.
He is so good to me.  I am so lucky!

That's My Boy

I grew up right down the street from a large middle school with big wide open fields.  Those fields were always full of little league teams playing tball, football and soccer.  For as long as I can remember I watched those fields and thought about the day that I'd have kids who were out on those fields. I always said I can't wait to be that mom out there watching my kids practice and play.
Well, the time has come.  This week, we started Tball practice with Colts team, the Tampa Bay Rays. On Tuesday, as we pulled into the parking lot of the middle school by our house, I was full of excitement.  Maybe more than Colton.  My day was here.  I was THAT MOM!
That was MY BOY out on that field.
We were all so excited.  We weren't sure how Colt would take to it.  But he did great.
The first day of practice all the dads got out on the field and practiced with the boys.  The boys were so cute.  Distracted yes, but over the moon to be out there.  The second day of practice Zak was going to meet us on the fields a little late.  Colt had done so great Tuesday but had stayed very close to Zak.  I wasn't sure how it would work out if Zak wasn't there.  I wondered how I'd get all of our stuff (We had an incredible amount) out to the field, keep up with and carry Chase, and practice with Colt without Zak. We pulled up and Colton was so excited! He jumped out of the car and carried his own (heavy) bat bag all the way across the open field to the baseball fields.  He hung his bat bag up with Mrs. Brenda (Coaches wife) and Coach K asked him to go out on the field and catch.
Off he went.  Without looking back.
And, he played with the Coach and other dads 'til Zak got there.  I was so so so proud.  All this time I've worried that he wouldn't practice or play without us by his side.  What was I thinking?!?!?!  He's ready for this and he LOVES it!
Here are a few pics from Tuesdays practice...

Today was Opening Day for Baseball Season with  CFSA.  We had group and individual pictures and the boys walked in a parade.  We had a lot of fun at Opening Day.  There was a lot for the kids to do and see. It was fun to have a little more time to get to know Colton's teammates and the parents.

We found out today that the first game won't be 'til April 6th and we have three more practices before then.  These boys will be ready for the pros by then!

These Silly boys

Goodness gracious...I LOVE these silly boys!

Chase discovered a pair of Colton's old crocks (He calls them "docks") a while back and hasn't taken them off since.  He loves them, even wears them with Pjs!

The other day Colton fell asleep on the coffee table.  He slept there for 2 hours!
This could not have been comfy!
