Time to celebrate 10 years!

Our 10 year anniversary started early, dropping the boys off with Nanny and Grandad...
Then heading into Gruene to stay at Gruene Mansion Inn for a night.
We ate...drank...and explored the town ending with some live music at Omas on the patio and live music at Gruene Hall.
Zak called this my ''pond water".  It may not be pretty but it had awesome taste!

After a really fun day and night in Gruene we heeded to Medina.
We made a quick stop at Bucees and look who we met...
We stopped in Kerrville at Grape Juice, the food was awesome and the drinks were so good!
So good that I had to buy some to last us for the rest of the trip.
Sweet Tea Sangria.
Bacon Brownie
The drive into Medina was BEAUTIFUL!
And, we arrived...
9 year earlier we spent our first anniversary here.

st anniversary.... 10th anniversary

 A view off our balconly.
After a yummy meal, a relaxing night by the pool and getting to know some of the other guests we headed into Fredricksburg for some shopping the next morning.

Zak really enjoyed shopping...

Pizza for lunch and a little more shopping, we were ready to head back to relax.

This was our view for almost every meal we ate at Escondida.
I have to add...the weather was amazing the whole time.  We enjoyed two hours outside in Gruene listening to a band where we didn't even break a sweat.  We ate most meals outside in Medina and enjoyed the breeze and then in Fredricksburg the weather was awesome, like a breezy spring day.

After dinner, we headed to the pool to hang out for the night.  Zak was so excited to get the fire going.  (The first night he tried desperately but they logs were too wet. )

Our last morning there, we enjoyed berry filled crepes at the table with our new friends.
We had such an excellent time.
After 10 years, we deserved this trip to ourselves but we missed our boys like CRAZY!
We could hardly wait to get back to them!
On the way home, when we got into cell service, we found out Sadie had had an accident all over the living room.  We were a bit panicked and stressed out about it but our amazing neighbors cleaned it up and took care of everything.  Hearing this made us ready to get home even faster so we stopped quickly at Nutty Brown Cafe, outside of Austin, for lunch and got on our way. After tons of traffic in Austin, we made it home about 4:30.  When we got home the boys were waiting on us and the carpet was cleaner then we expected.  :)
We loved our time away and we are so thankful to Nanny and Grandad for spoiling the boys and our awesome neighbors who helped love on the animals for us.
We are so blessed!
