Today I stopped by the gas station where Deputy Goforth senselessly lost his life, Friday night, to make a donation to his family. The gas station is right around the corner from my childhood home. It's a gas station I pass by on a weekly basis and stop at from time to time. A gas station that is always filled with police officers and patrol cars filling up and meeting up. I was overcome with feelings of sadness and anger but also of pride. I'm so proud to be from here. Although everyone is angry and sad and hurt, people are treating this situation with grace, kindness and respect.

PreK Meet the Teacher
And, he was over the moon to be reunited with Braxton. They absolutely adore each other and love playing together in our classroom in the mornings. Londyn will be there this year to give them both a run for their money!
We are looking forward to an awesome year!!!!!

While Bubby is away...
First day of 1st
Colt had a great first day! We are so spoiled to have Amber as a bus driver again. He came home happy and somewhat excited to go back. (As excited as could be expected.) He said they did nothing, his teacher was nice, he didn't sit by Addy, he played with Trynton at Recess but never found Jace, didn't make any new friends and his favorite part of the day was lunch!
(And, thats seriously all I got- and that was with A LOT of prying!)

1st Grade Meet The Teacher
Tonight, Colton had his Meet the Teacher. He was excited to go up and meet his new teacher, Ms. Raia, and to see his classroom. Mrs. Raia was so sweet and made a great first impression. He saw a few friends from last year and was happy to be there. He's over the moon that his lifelong BFF, Addy, will be in his class sen through we didn't see her at school tonight.
When we got home, he was in THE BEST mood. I could tell he was really excited about it all. And, for the first time when I asked, "Are you ready for school to start!?!?!" he said, "Yes!"
It eases my mommy heart so much to see his excitement and meet his teacher. I think its going to be a great year!
Here he comes first grade!!!!!

Boyd Family Reunion
We arrived in Canyon Lake and the view was beautiful!
And, look who had BUNK-A BEDS
We got right to work. Helping out and cooking.
We played lots too!
It was so nice to see everyone and catch up.
Even had a night swim.
Although this is all Colt got in.
Breakfast Saturday was quite possibly THE BEST breakfast Ive ever had.
EVER.
Swimsuits on...
Ready for the lake!
We had a blast on the water all day, until, I locked the keys in the Tahoe.
OOOOPS!
We hung out ...
And Chase just couldn't hang!
Colt and Zak stayed up later than anyone!
Sunday morning we had breakfast and helped clean up.
Then, we headed out. Made a stop at Bucees and went to Buda to Cabelas to look around.
We had a great time!
