Tournament Ball

Chase had his first taste of tournament ball when he made the 10u All Star team in Fairfield this summer.
After a lot of rain and some change of plans they finally played in two tournaments.

The first tournament in Waller was small but they played so well.  They played like a team that had been together for years, not weeks.  We had lots of visitors out to watch and cheer Chase on and he was really just in his element.  He loved pitching and pitched so well.
The team ended up taking home a championship win and ring!
I won't ever forget how HOT it was though!

Our last tournament didn't start out well.  They played awful on day one and we ended up coming in 9th out of 9.  The boys just weren't on their game.  They didn't hit and missed ball after ball.  But, they knew Sunday was what really counted.  Being last didn't mean you lost just meant they had to play harder to come back and win on Sunday.  With a lot of rain in the forecast,  we woke up bright and early on Sunday to play.  We arrived to the most run down wet fields.  After a 45 minute delay getting rid of the small swimming pools on the field, we started up.  The weather was PHENOMENAL and the boys played AMAZING.  They were on fire and so much fun to watch.  Bottom of the last inning with literally one minute left, the heavens opened up and the tournament ended up getting cancelled.

We were playing the top team in our bracket on Sunday so in an unexpected turn of events, we found out we WON after getting home.  Not sure how I feel about the win.  The boys played that Sunday game amazing. Like CHAMPIONS but the Saturday games definitely didn't win us any rings.
Rules are rules.
We beat the top seeded team in our bracket.
We were the only game abel to play before the rain washed the fields away.
So.....
