A Vaca Get-Away

This weekend, we took a little trip up to San Antonio to stay at Hyatt Hill Country.  It was an awesome resort and we had the best time! We were suppose to check in at 4 on Thursday but we called ahead and they had a room ready for us by 10:30.  We got to the resort about 11 and wasted no time changing and heading out to the pool!
We started out in the big activity pool but we didn't stay there long.  As soon as the boys found the beach along the lazy river, we moved our stuff and never moved again.

Colt immediately made a friend.  His name was Zane.  It turned out that I went to high school with his mom and Zak went to church with her growing up.
Small world.
As you'll see, Zane and Colton became best buds and couldn't stay away from each other.
Chase was in and out if the water and quite content hanging out with daddy and running up to the room with mommy.

Thursday night we got dressed and headed into town.
It was the boys first trip to the River Walk.

We ate dinner on the water ...

 And, rode the boat around.
Friday morning, we let daddy sleep in a little and the boys and I went on an excursion around the hotel.

Daddy met us at the park and we headed into the breakfast buffet.  It was awesome! As usual, the boys ate nothing.  Thank goodness they were FREE!
As soon as we were done, it was back to the pool!

We ate lunch and snacked by the pool all day long.

That night, we ate a buffet dinner at the hotel.

And, headed out to watch a movie on the lawn.

Poor Chase didn't last long! We were all so tired.
Saturday morning we were right back to our spot.

We took a 5 minute break to color hats.

And, the boys got tatted up later in the afternoon after we discovered Colt was too short to ride the big green slide :(

After a little more time in the pool an early dinner, we hit the beds.  Cuddled, watched tv and played on the pads.
The boys and I snuck downstairs for a late night treat before falling fast asleep!
Sunday morning we got up, packed, ate breakfast and thought we were heading to the Alamo to spend the day looking at the sights.  Mother Nature had different plans.
We may have cut it short but we got home relaxed and went to a nice dinner in Houston.  Zak took Monday off so we all hung out all day long.
This is just what we all needed.
What a great way to start our summer!
