Opening Day Parade and Chases First Game!

Today was a crazy hectic and busy day but we made it through!  We started out bright and early getting the boys to their designated truck areas for the parade.  Zak was driving Chase so he and Chase headed out to meet his team and decorate for the parade.  Colto and I headed to meet his team at 6:55.  After they got settled, I went down Mason to find Grandad and Jerry and Glenda.  We got prime parade spots and wired for all the kids.  The boys had such a fun time in the parade. It was so much fun to watch them.  There was so much CANDY!  Chase had given myself and Grandad specific instructions to get him candy, since he would't be able to catch any.
We got plenty!

After the parade we ran home for lunch and a quick rest. The boys were tired from the early morning and all of the fun.  Zak was too.  He slept on the couch most of the time.
Chases first game was SOOOOOOO much fun.  I smiled the whole time.  His first time up to bat, he smacked the ball.  Then, he ran all of the bases, without touching a single base.  HOME RUN!?!?!?!?! Then, they sent him back to first where he should have stayed.  HIs second at bat, I watched him talk to each base coach about where he should go and stop at the next at bat.
The whole team had a lot of fun. It was a blast to watch the little ones out there. And, Chase had quite a cheering section!  Nanny and Grandad, PawPaw and Gaga, MiMi and Jerry, Pa and Byrd, and Kelly and her kiddos were all there to support him.
Can't wait for game two! GO ASTROS!!!!!
