(see my hubby there in the grey!)
We spent hours in Matt and Ambers garage while the kids played or slept cheering the Astros on
Then, Zak got an offer of a lifetime. Josh was flying in and his boss was sending him and Zak to game 5, which ended up being one of the best games in history!
While they cheered on at the game we cheered on at home! It was incredibly exciting to watch!!!!!
Im happy the season is over and bummed all at the same time.
We had an absolute blast with these folks cheering on our team. Definitely made memories none of us will forget. Ever!
And, our Astros brought home the trophy!!!
WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!!!
The parade...or I should say the BUST of a parade.
We pulled the boys out of school at 11 am and met up with Scott and Susan and Grandad and headed downtown. We decided on parking at Reliant and taking the train. We knew hundreds of thousands were expected so we knew what ever we chose to do was a crap shoot. We thought it would be packed but when we pulled right in and got a front row parking space, we though, ok this might just work! Then, we got in a line that stretched forever. We had exactly two hours tip the parade so we thought we'd make it.
WE DIDN'T. :(
If we had made it it might have looked soothing like this...
