As you know, my son is a picky picky eater who just recently got even pickier. When he decided this week to stop eating fishsticks we decided it was time to get tough. He had to eat more than fruit, yogurt and crackers. This week we have given Colton what we eat for dinner and nothing else. Actually, we started this on Wednesday and it's now only Friday. On Wednesday we had burgers, mac and cheese and homemade fries. Colton LOVED the mac and cheese and he even tried one very small bite of a hamburger patty. He continued to ask for "mo" and "mo" mac and cheese. Thursday, for lunch, we tried McDonald's nuggets and Colton enjoyed a few bites of one nugget. Now this may sound silly that I am happy he ate a nugget, but you have to understand that he hasn't tried anything we've put on his plate, aside from what he likes, for the past 6 or 7 months. Just trying anything is huge. Last night, we had spaghetti, Colton played with it but didn't take a bite. We know this will take time. After eating his weight in mac and cheese tonight I think there's something new we can add to the list of foods he will eat. He's off to his Nanny and Grandad's this weekend so Im sure we will have to start the whole process over next week.

Beaming with pride
Tonight, I am proud of something only a mommy would be proud of. Tonight, Colton ate his FIRST restaurant meal. That's right folks, I am proud of my son for eating off of a kids menu at a restaurant. Tonight, I did not cook a meal before we left for a meal out. Tonight, everyones plate was cleared and we waited on COLTON to finish his dinner! Tonight, my little guy ate like a big kid!
