Wiggly tooth...Stubborn tooth...

About a month and a half ago we noticed Colts front tooth was a little discolored. It was right after a dentist visit so we didn't worry about it too much.  Turns out that tooth was a bit wiggly.  So, for the last month and a half we've been anxiously awaiting it coming out.  But it hasn't.  All of a sudden about 2 weeks ago, it got its color back and was no longer discolored.  Weird.
Then, fast forward to yesterday, Colt got off the bus with a very wiggly, crooked tooth.

He said he knocked it on the slide at PE.  He didn't complain of it hurting.  I thought for sure it would come right out! After a lot of wiggling, it was obvious that it wasn't going anywhere!

Colt went to be agitated and in pain after messing with it all night.  Today, he woke up still irritated and wondering how he'd do anything with it just hanging there.
He told his dad he felt like it was ready, and after one pull, daddy pulled it right out!

Tooth Fairy is ON DUTY tonight!!!!

Game 1 with Team Thunder

Monday, we had game#1 with Team Thunder. It was game two for the team but the week prior, Colt had Scarlett Fever :( so he didn't make the game.  The game wasn't pretty, but the boys had fun (I think) and the weather was amazing!  Of course, Colt's entourage  was there.

And, a little digging in the dirt...

Pa's Super Secret Adventure

Colt's game was rained out today but Pa came down anyway.  She planned a super secret adventure for her and the boys.  PawPaw and Gagas, Boat Show (where they played in boats and played like mannequins),  mall, Rides in the mall, dinner at Rainforest Cafe and a stop at Bucees.
The boys fell asleep taking about all the fun they had.
Pa sure knows how to make a day to remember!

While they were on their adventure, Zak and I were able to sneak away for a dinner date at Salt Grass.
Then, I made a mistake I may never forget.
I asked him to run into Hobby Lobby with me. Mistake! He couldn't believe everything was 50%. He said this was a deal we couldn't pass up. And now, that stupid rattle snake is beside my bed. The deer head hanging in our living room is bad enough...

Chase and Grandad

While Nanny and I were doing a little shopping, Granddad took Chase outside.  We heard the lady in the front of the store say, "You're gonna wanna see this!"
I looked out the window to see this...
I love this more than I could ever tell you!!!!

Day #1 - No Kids

Today, I walked into school as a mom.  I dropped Chase off and I walked out kid-free.  I should have felt happy, happy to have a few minutes to my self.  Today is the first day, since becoming a mom, that both my kids are at school and I'm not! But, it was so bittersweet  And, it hurt.  I was sad.  I missed my guy.  I hate that they are growing up so fast!  Deep down, I know that it's not Fridays that I'm sad about. I can do a few hours away, alone.  Its next year.  Next year, I'll put both boys on the bus each morning and I'll be kid free for 8 hours.  I'm sure there will be days it will be glorious but I know it's going to hurt.  I'm a stay at home mom.  What am I suppose to do with out a buddy at home with me?!?!?!  Next year, we will have hit a new phase of life.  No more playdates, and helpers around the house, no more buddies shopping with me.  Just two BIG BOYS off to school, leaving momma.
Enough of that, I have the next year to enjoy every moment!  Chase absolutely adores school, his class and his teachers.  And, Kellie is taking good care of me too.  She knew how hard this day was for me and she checked on me all day long and sent me LOTS of pics.
